Review: Soap and Glory Kick Ass Colour Correcting Sticks

I have only tried colour correcting makeup once before and results were more Fiona from Shrek than supermodel (green cheeks were NOT a good look). I was really excited to try Soap and Glory’s new Kick Ass range of colour correcting sticks to see if I could make them work.

The packaging of the sticks is super cute, I really like how they’re colour coded so easy to find first thing in the morning through bleary eyes. They bullet shape means you can apply it straight to the skin without a brush or needing to dig any product out which is also a plus. I like to apply the concealers with my beauty blender, and it works great both wet or dry.

There are 4 different sticks in the Kick Ass Range:

All is Calm: Anti Redness Concealer (green)

I apply this on my cheek area as it gets super red at times, especially if my eczema has flared up or my skin’s sensitive. The formulation is SO creamy, and blends in like an absolute dream. I was very sceptical as my previous experience with green colour correctors wasn’t great but I LOVE THIS. It is undetectable under makeup and I’ve reached for this everyday since I got it. Definitely my favourite from the range.

Fake Awake: Dark Circles Concealer (yellow)

I use this on my dark circles which I rock on a daily (thanks uni and work) and it really is fab for concealing and hiding dark circles. I do follow up with a concealer anyway as I’m pretty fair skinned this doesn’t “brighten” as much as I’d like it too but is great if you have a bit more tan.

Just Bright: Tired Skin Concealer (lilac)

This is the one of the four I was slightly unsure where to put it on my face. I decided on using it on my chin and around the sides of my face to be the best placement for brightening up and taking away an discoloration. I tried this under my eyes too and it did help to blur out the dark circles.

Super Blur: Imperfections Eraser (clear)

This one is such a good concept in my opinion. The idea is you place this over any imperfections to blur and smooth them out before makeup. The transparent “blend of wax and lightweight oils” sit so nicely on the skin. I had a patch of eczema right under my eye and I applied this on top after the green colour corrector and my makeup applied so much smoother over the top. This would be great if you have areas of large pores or spot prone skin also!

(Please excuse the makeup free face!)

Overall I’m super impressed with the colour correcting range. I’ve used Fake Awake regularly since receiving it and Super Blur will always be kept on hand for any dry skin days. My stand out is definitely All Is Calm, I absolutely love it!

I’m doing a little giveaway over on my Instagram with an All is Calm and my favourite Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss in Nudestar up for grabs! Head over here to see how to win ❤.

The colour correctors are all linked above and are currently 3 for 2 on Boots.

Would you try colour correctors?

Another great post! I’ve been looking into these but never knew what colour went where!

Can I ask what you use for blending? I try but my face looks dirty!

Will be in boots today for a little shop!
